With the continuous development of industrial technology, the application of large-scale welded structures in engineering is increasing day by day, and a large number of welding operations must be carried out on the installation site. Therefore, it is of great significance to realize the automation of the welding operation on the installation site for improving the welding efficiency and welding quality. The first attempt to apply two welding robots on the C08 construction site is a portable trackless automatic welding robot. This welding robot is 30 cm long, 23 cm wide, and weighs only 23 kg. It is easy to operate, light and flexible; the other is a five-axis welding robot. The robot, 150 cm long and 80 cm wide, can make the welding process more stable and control the quality effectively.

On-site welding robots are gradually applied in construction sites because of their simple mechanism, strong adaptability, and the ability to perform welding operations in non-structural environments. For on-site welding work, the application of welding robots to assist workers in welding operations is the best way to improve production efficiency and welding quality.



The construction period of the steel structure of the C08 project is in winter.
