The R&D department of JCC is composed of a number of highly educated researchers and industry experts, making great contributions to the research of major national and industry topics and the revision of standards, and many of their achievements have won the political research awards of the China Certification and Accreditation Association. JCC takes the lead in implementing the project of " Construction of Digital Platform and Laboratory for Building Environmental Performance Certification and Testing" of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Research on Technology Transfer Mechanism and Implementation Path of China-EU Prefabricated Buildings" and "Research on the Construction of Certification Standard System of Prefabricated Buildings" by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. JCC takes the lead in editing "Digital Engineering Service Certification Code", "Energy Management System Certification Requirements for Thermal Production and Supply", "Requirements of Quality Management System for Prefabricated Construction Enterprises ", "Corporate Social responsibility Evaluation Criteria for the Construction Industry" and "Construction Specification for Assembled Buildings with Concrete Structure" and other industry and group standards. 

JCC also participates in the compilation of national standards such as "Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements with Guidance for Use", "Social Responsibility Management systems Requirements with Guidance for Use" and "Code for Quality Management of Engineering Construction Enterprises". JCC undertakes China Construction Corporate Social responsibility Project of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). As a founding member, JCC has established China Construction Testing and Certification Union (CCTCU) and the C-syspro. JCC has established strategic partnerships and technical cooperation mechanisms with organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Green Industry Platform (UNIDO-UNEP), the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the SYSPRO, and the International Well Building Institute (IWBI). In-depth cooperation has been conducted with buildingSMART, CR BIM Alliance, China Electricity Council to contribute to the digital construction in China. In addition, the Bureau Public Works of SHENZHEN Municipality issued "Measures for the Administration of Incentive Points for Promoting the High-quality Development of Government Projects (Trial)", in which digital engineering certification system is accepted and used for engineering project supervision.
