On April 28th, the special premiere of the fifth season of "Thought Lunch" - a series of research reports on new quality productivity in the construction industry - was successfully held in Beijing. The conference aims to explore the connotation, development path, and future trends of new productive forces in the construction industry, providing scientific decision-making basis and development ideas for the industry. This press conference is hosted by the Certification Center of China Construction Association and co organized by China Carbon Digital Laboratory and China Yongcheng Testing Company. The conference is chaired by Dr. Wan Liming, Deputy General Manager of the Certification Center of China Construction Association and Director of China Carbon Digital Laboratory. The event invited more than 70 representatives from the Certification and Accreditation Technology Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, the China Certification and Accreditation Association, the China Certification and Accreditation Magazine, as well as from China Construction, China Railway, China Railway Construction, China MCC, China Nonferrous Metals, CITIC Construction and other qualified assessment and construction engineering fields to attend.
At the beginning of the meeting, Wang Li, the general manager of the China Construction Association Certification Center, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizer. She mentioned that in 2023, the China Construction Association Certification Center organized an expert team to conduct in-depth research on important issues related to the new quality productivity of the construction industry, such as "good houses, dual carbon, digitalization, healthy buildings, ESG, prefabricated buildings, quality awards, and international engineering contractor development strategies". The research report not only summarizes the development and innovation achievements of the global construction industry, but also provides reference data and best practices for the development direction of the entire construction industry chain, construction enterprise strategies, and management system development trends. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China Construction Association Certification Center. With D-NQI as its product architecture, the center has established a service system through four pillars: standards, certification, services, and ecology, to safeguard the high-quality development of the organization.
Liang Hao, Director of the Green Building Development Department of the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, shared the relevant policy interpretation and research on good housing. He proposed that "good houses" are the common pursuit of people around the world for a better life, and an important way to develop the human settlement technology industry and promote technology to empower the real economy. The Good House Human Settlements Technology Laboratory focuses on industrialization, digitization, and greening, focusing on four core dimensions: green and low-carbon, healthy and comfortable, intelligent and convenient, and safe and durable. Starting from the actual needs and feelings of the people for housing, it conducts systematic research on good houses.
Subsequently, representatives from various industry report preparation teams released and explained reports on ESG, digital engineering, carbon peak and carbon neutrality, WELL construction, prefabricated construction, international engineering contractor development strategies, quality awards, and other fields.
