The United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s China Construction Industry Corporate Social Responsibility Project preparations since 2013, initiated by the United Nations industrial development organization，providing money and technology support, authorized by China International Economic and Technical Exchange Center, Ministry of Commerce, led by China Construction Industry Association, combined with the association of construction industry departments all over the country, and to absorb the industry leading enterprises to participate in was launched.It was officially launched in February 2014 and implemented by the JCC.The first phase of the project lasted for four years and carried out a series of work and activities. A steering committee including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, the State Certification and Accreditation Administration and other government departments was set up, and a standard preparation committee with the participation of industry experts and representatives of various stakeholders was set up, and a dedicated project office was set up.Successfully carried out urban research, industry training, series of standard compilation and release, pilot evaluation, publicity and promotion, overseas exchange and investigation activities.In 2017, a series of achievements such as Corporate social responsibility evaluation criteria for the construction industry and Guidelines for social responsibility reports on corporate social responsibility in the construction Industry were officially released.The project was named "one of the 50 most influential projects of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization" in 2016.The first phase of the project will be officially accepted and concluded in June 2018.In March 2019, the project results were officially included in the Commemorative Book for the 40th Anniversary of Cooperation between the United Nations and the Government of China.The second phase of project will be on the basis of the first phase , and further promote the standard application, strengthen professional personnel training, and issued the sustainable development report of China's construction enterprises, speed up the standard of international mutual recognition, promote the construction enterprises in such aspects as building industrialization, green health building  and other aspects of social responsibility innovation practice, promote the sustainable development of construction industry.

Construction enterprise social responsibility throughout the development of enterprise strategy, project quality, safety Production,Energy saving and environmental protection, Technological progress and management innovation, employee development, shareholders' equity, Social integrity and branding and many other aspects，is the embodiment of the comprehensive competitiveness of the enterprise, establishing a complete social responsibility system, prompting enterprises to pay attention to the social and environmental demands of various stakeholders when conducting business operations, is also an important boost for construction enterprises to enhance their brand image and achieve sustainable development of the enterprises. At the same time, we also advocate that Chinese construction enterprises consciously fulfill their social responsibilities in the process of "One Belt And One Road" project construction and establish the brand image of "China construction".

In the future, the China Construction Industry Association will continue to work closely with all parties to further promote the construction of a corporate social responsibility system in the construction industry, continue to promote the improvement of the social responsibility management level of Chinese construction enterprises, and promote the high-quality development of the construction industry!

The United Nations industrial development organization (unido) theme day activities officially started in China since 2010, in recent years Co-organized with China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair (referred to as "Shanghai Fair"), in recent years as one of the most important  international forums of the"Shanghai Fair", the United Nations industrial development organization (unido) theme day in addition to the high-end forum format, the content of related industry development hot spot topics often attracting global governments, NGO organizations, research institutes and well-known enterprises to actively participate in.The theme of this year's event is "Technology, Investment, Innovation -- UNIDO global Investment Promotion Network Dialogue on quality Development in the Yangtze River Delta".China's high-quality development strategy has achieved remarkable results, and international demand is increasingly paying attention to the improvement of Chinese enterprises' comprehensive capabilities in the process of high-quality development. It is no longer an initiative to actively fulfill social responsibility, but a core capability that Chinese enterprises must have to "go global".During the event, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) officially released the “Corporate social responsibility evaluation criteria for the construction industry ”(T/CCIAT 0002-2018) and announced the official launch of the second phase of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization China Construction Corporate Social Responsibility Project.

It is reported that on March 18, 2019,the United Nations Industrial Development Organization , the  China International Economic and Technical Exchange Center,, China construction industry association signed the United Nations Industrial Development Organization China construction enterprise society responsibility phase ii project cooperation documents (SAP project number: 180270), authorize to entrust the Zhongjianxie Certification Center to undertake specific tasks, the project was named "one of the 50 most influential projects of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization" in 2016.;The first phase of the project was officially accepted and concluded in June 2018, which has won unanimous praise from international parties.In March 2019, the project results were officially included in the Commemorative Book for the 40th Anniversary of Cooperation between the United Nations and the Government of China.

The second phase of project will be on the basis of the first phase , and further promote the standard application, strengthen professional personnel training, and issued the sustainable development report of China's construction enterprises, speed up the standard of international mutual recognition, promote the construction enterprises in such aspects as building industrialization, green health building  and other aspects of social responsibility innovation practice, promote the sustainable development of construction industry. Committed to launching corporate social responsibility construction activities in the entire construction industry in China. Achieve the relevant objectives of the second phase of the project through technical means such as training, consultation, evaluation, and reporting, including the qualification and training of social responsibility consultants and auditors in the construction industry; build a platform for publishing social responsibility performance information in the construction industry, and release the performance of China construction enterprises report and ranking of the status quo of social responsibility; conduct research on "factors affecting the quality of prefabricated buildings" and put forward recommendations on quality management policies for prefabricated building production; organize study tours to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries;organize an international social responsibility experience seminar involving construction companies from countries along the “Belt and Road”; promote and implement evaluation of the "Corporate social responsibility evaluation criteria for the construction industry" T/CCIAT 0002-2018 among construction companies; provide relevant think tank services to policy makers at all levels.

Since its launch in 2014, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's China Construction Industry Corporate Social Responsibility Project has gone through multiple stages of initiation, exploration, maturity, and development. It has carried out 3 city-level test evaluations, 5 major city surveys, and preliminary and advanced training and topics,preliminary Advanced training and 6 sessions of theme Forum (more than 200 participating enterprises),organized 6 times overseas inspections, 20 well-known enterprises in-depth pilot projects, 25 industry associations, 50 domestic and foreign institutions, and more than 500 enterprises. The project results include "Corporate social responsibility evaluation criteria for the construction industry"( T/CCIAT 0002-2018), "The Primary Book of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Construction Industry", "The Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility in China's Construction Industry", "Classic Case Collection and Evaluation Report on Corporate Social Responsibility" .On December 12, 2018, the China Construction Industry Association held the third session of the “Belt and Road Initiative” Overseas Project Experience Exchange Conference in Zhuhai,organized more than 200 outstanding enterprises, and jointly initiated the “Construction Industry Enterprise Implementation of Social Responsibility Proposal” , with practical actions to help the national "One Belt One Road" initiative, use the "hard power" of high-quality engineering quality and technology combined with the "soft power" of advanced engineering standards and services, and embody the responsibility of a big country with China's construction.

In the afternoon’s agenda, the event arranged high-end policy and industrial development dialogue links, from industrial symbiosis to urban symbiosis, from intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, 5G and other fields to the industrial engineering, manufacturing, and construction services experts and scholars are invited to share wonderful content. At the international outstanding project roadshow and project matchmaking meeting, relevant leaders of the Shanghai government delivered important speeches. Representatives of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and project leaders introduced advanced experiences in sustainable development in various fields, contributed practical experience and development suggestions to hot topics such as regional high-quality development.

According to the organizer, the theme of this year is closely centered on China’s high-quality development strategy, with the help of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization to promote inclusive and sustainable development, such as the release of the results of social responsibility projects and the launch of the second phase of the project,it is hoped that the wisdom of all parties can bring into full play the great contribution and potential of the construction industry on a global scale,promote international advanced tools and methods, and strive to achieve high-quality sustainable development of construction enterprises through cooperation, and pass on the advanced experience of China construction enterprises in "going out" to " The Belt and Road" Initiative and more countries and regions are also in line with this year's theme day activities that present a new pattern with higher specifications, more highlights, and wider perspectives.
